Chocolate Millet Crunches
Two ingredients and ten minutes in the fridge is all this one asks for. Puffed millet, jowar, ragi, or plain puffed rice, gets folded through melted dark or sugar-free chocolate until every piece is coated, then spooned into rough discs on a parchment-lined tray and topped with chopped nuts or seeds. Simple enough to make on a weeknight when the craving hits.

The Two-Ingredient Sweet That's Ready in Ten Minutes
Some cravings don’t need a recipe with fifteen ingredients. This one needs two: puffed millet, jowar, ragi, or plain puffed rice, and melted chocolate.
Melt the chocolate, toss the puffs through it until every piece is coated, spoon rough discs onto a tray, scatter chopped nuts or seeds over the top, and let the fridge do the rest. Ten minutes later, you have nine crunchy little discs.
It’s the kind of thing you make while the kettle is boiling, not a project that needs planning.
When the Chocolate Seizes or the Discs Won't Hold Shape
Chocolate that turns thick and grainy instead of staying smooth – This is chocolate seizing, usually from overheating or a stray drop of water getting into the bowl. Melt in short bursts, 15-20 seconds at a time in the microwave, stirring between each, or use a double boiler where the bowl never touches the water directly. Once chocolate seizes, it won’t smooth back out, so it’s better to go slow the first time.
Discs that spread flat instead of holding a shape – This happens when the chocolate-to-puff ratio runs too wet, or the mixture is spooned out while the chocolate is still very fluid. Let the coated puffs sit for a minute after mixing so the chocolate thickens slightly before spooning onto the tray, and press down gently rather than pouring.
Puffs that turn soggy instead of staying crunchy – Puffed millet and puffed rice are airy and can go soft if they sit too long in warm, melted chocolate before you shape them. Work quickly once the chocolate is melted, and get the mixture onto the tray within a minute or two of coating.
Nine Crunchy Discs, No Baking Required
Straight out of the fridge, each disc has a firm chocolate shell holding together a cluster of crisp, airy puffs, with the chopped nuts or seeds on top adding a bit of bite against the crunch underneath.
They’re small enough to eat in two or three bites and firm enough to hold together without falling apart in your hand, which makes them an easy thing to keep in the fridge for whenever the craving for something sweet and crunchy shows up.
